Llan stumble against Mochdre (April 13, 2009)Nathan Jones's Llansannan battled it out with league leaders Mochdre Sports only to lose out 3-0 courtesy of an outstanding hat-trick from Mochdre frontman Rob Knowles.
It was very much equal throughout the middle of the park during the game but it was the attack which was the difference with Llan missing top goalscorer Emyr Owen and it proved to make a big difference as chances were limited.
Knowles scored after 18 minutes when a throughball split the Llan defence and was left one on one with keeper Luke Jones before slotting it home to make it 1-0.
It stayed like that until the 60th minute before scoring his second and then 10 minutes later he pounced for a third time to win the game for Mochdre and send them five points clear at the top of the Clwyd Premier League.
