Llan superb against Aston Park 5-2 (April 05, 2009)
Llansannan 5 - 2 Aston Park Rangers

Llansannan returned to fifth place in the Clwyd Premier League with an emphatic 5-2 victory over
Aston Park Rangers.
It was a return to recent form for Nathan Jones's team who dropped points last week to Rhuddlan Town
for the first time in 2009, however normal service was resumed after only eight minutes on the clock thanks to a fantastic solo effort from the dangerous Gareth Lewis, this was his 14th goal of an impressive season for him.
Emyr Owen layed on the ball to Lewis who glided past three Aston Park players before burying the ball into the
corner. After the early goal Llan began to run the game as they created chance after chance going close through the impressive Josh Jones,Euros Lloyd and Gareth Evans.
The second goal soon followed when Rhodri Evans glanced a Gavin Roberts corner into the path of the clinical Emyr Owen who finished from six yards.
Soon after Aston Park were awarded a penalty when Llan keeper Luke Jones brought down a player inside his box and was then converted by Martin Bainbridge to make it 2-1.
This didn't seem to bother Llansannan as a few minutes later Gavin Roberts sent the keeper the wrong way with a penalty for his 4th of the season, due to a deliberate hand ball from an Aston Park defender. The referee giving him his marching orders for the hand ball.
A few minutes later winger Dan Nixon gathered an Emyr Owen through ball and composed himself before calmly striking into the corner to take it 4-1 into half time.
Llansannan continued to dominate the game in the second half and created many more chances through the solid Gwion Evans,Gerallt Lyall and Rhodri Evans but it was Aston Park who registered the first second half goal with a fortunate long free kick which deceived Luke Jones and bounced over him into the goal.
In the last few minutes of the game a long Gavin Roberts freekick found the head of the clinical Emyr Owen who superbly directed a header into the corner to complete the scoreline at 5-2.This was Owen's 13th strike of the campaign.
The only downside of the game was losing the reliable Gerallt Lyall to an ankle injury.
