Llan lose out to Rhuddlan Town (March 21, 2009)
Llansannan's 2009 unbeaten league run came to an end this weekend with a 3-0 defeat to a hungry
Rhuddlan Town.Nathan Jones's side came into the game with an unbeaten record of six games in the league
from the turn of the year, however it was never to be as Rhuddlan set the tempo with an early goal from
Kyle Parry in the sixth minute steering a low shot into the corner past keeper Luke Jones.
Chances were few and far between during the first half,Gavin Roberts grazing the crossbar from 25 yards and top scorer Gareth Lewis also going close with a low effort. In the 55th minute Rhuddlan's Kyle Parry slotted home another low shot into the corner after beating two defenders for his second goal of the game. Chances went begging in the second half for Llan including close efforts from Gareth Jones,Gareth Lewis & Gavin Roberts and could easily of clawed their way back into the game, but it wasn't
to be as Rhuddlan's Jamie Allan secured the 3-0 win with a guided header from a long thrown to beat the otherwise quiet Luke Jones. This will go down as a minor blip for Llan as they look to finish the season in the top five of the table.
